how to properly tune jimfab traction bars
i just installed my new jimfab traction bars, but i dont know how to tune em. what ive done so far is turn the radius bar to the max while the car is on the floor, then i tighten the bolts at the ends of the radius bars. with this setup, so far ive barely eliminated wheel hop, so this brigns the question, am i doing this correctly? reason i ask is because the bar is not completely stiff (the radius bar can still move around). so im just trying to get the most efficency outa my new traction bars. help

"tune" the rods with the car on the ground. You want to turn them so the rods are shorter... pull the LCA to the front. Start with 2 or so full turns and see what happens to wheel hop, and go from there.

Because you want to tune the suspension the way it is going to sit while in use (on the floor), tuning the bars when the car is on jack stands without the weight of the car on the suspension would be pointless.
Are you speaking from experience with traction bars or is this just an assumption? I still don't understand the difference -what effect does the height of the LCAs have on "tuning" the bars?

It's just a general rule of thumb that you adjust and tighten suspension components when they are under their normal load. In the case of the radius rods it's not that big of a deal, but it will help to load the bars evenly across both sides if you're adjusting by torque.
