Set some boundaries, how much money max do you want to spend, any goals on horsepower?

i'd say turbo, in the end allmotor wont' get you the speed you're gonna want. atleast that's how i feel. I remember 2 years ago my goal was 13's, and now that's nothing to be proud of at all. i'm going for 11's at least, then when i get there i'm sure i'll want 10's.

I am fighting the same decision right now.... I have sorta found that it would cost more $$/hp to go N/A than turbo. Like you could get more power from a turbo setup for cheaper, than going all motor. Another big issue for me is my car is a daily driver, and i need it to be dependable.

However, i am still curious how much custom fabrication must be done to cram this setup into a crx.... I have heard that you really dont have to do any build up of the motor, as long as you keep it at low psi, 5-7psi...

well i was reading the new HONDA Tuning magazine. they had a crx with a turbo on it from parts of a eclipse and hf manifold. It dynoed at 172 and 161, pretty good i think. stock internals at 5 psi. Says not to go over 7

Whoa piecing together a turbo from an eclipse, you could almost call it a "home made turbo"

4thGSi that setup looks crazy i like it..i want to be able to have arround 200 or so horse at the wheels and around 180 ft lbs of tourqe..think that would be do able considering i want to leave the bottom end stock?..i heard you can do a piece by peice turbo setup for around 3200..would i have to do anything to my front cross member to fit a turbo in?..what about radiator..well anyway thanks for any advice..also if any of pics of your setups in a crx that would be cool..

Let me just clear it up. The site and the engine is not mine, but my route will be doing a homemadeturbo. All my resources came from that page, so if your going a cheaper route and do it yourself project. I will recommend that site.

Id say boost it......

I have been thinking about the same for quite a while, I was a N/A man. I wanted my b16 to be a n/a monster: cams, headwork, tb's and stuff. That setup I had in mind was gonna cost loads........for,hmmmm 220hp? And still no torque? So I turboed my b16. Love it............

I ment bout 220 hp for a possible n/a setup.........................If you boost a b16, the hp possibilities are way higher.

I have no clue on figures now, havent dynoed it yet but I guess it will be between 210 and 230 right now. Torque no idea.

I have a greddy kit but lost blue box and put inline pump and fmu on it. Still needs work on tuning.......
