Airbag removal
My 95 dx steering wheel is in bad shape with little dye left on it. I assume the easiest way to fix this is to replace the steering wheel, rather then dye it. How do I swap the airbag to another oem wheel?
1. remove battery cables.
2. remove little panel on bottom of steering wheel (should have 2 phillips screws in it)
3. unplug airbag yellow conector
4. remove two side panels on back of steering wheel
5. remove TORX bolts from airbag assy. and pull bag off stock wheel
6. remove stock wheel by removing 19mm nut and slowly pulling wheel.(Note: some wheels stick so its a good idea to put the nut back on a few turns to keep wheel from "popping" of and breaking oyur nose. *trust me on this*)
7. install new wheel and airbag in reverse order, plug in air bag last and then reattach battery cables.
