Well the UPS guy just came with my SUmmit special Ecutout got the Summit brand one for $26.95, So im gonn a pop this thing on this weekend and runt he car next weekend for some shakedown passes to see what it can do . and get some more dyno results.

Anyone have any positive responses aboutt heirs yet?
im just curious if they are what people crack thme up to be .

think of it as an y adapter, allows you to redirect your downpipe either to an exhaust or leave it open.

 

basically you can run open downpipe with a switch of a button in conjunction with your stock exhaust system. stock exhaust or open header that is the question...... i've seen the ecutout downpipe / stock exhaust post here before...search for it you should find it...

 

you got the Ecutout of 30 bucks?

you sure you didnt just order a basic cutout?

i searched the site, i couldnt even find an ecutout on Summit. I think you ofdered a y-pipe that would allow for an ecutout. thats what i ordered, and i'm getting my ecutout soon.

 

its in the catalog, i got the one where you can just take off 3 wingnuts to remove the plate, the ones with the switch to open in the car scare me , ebcuase i hear they are more prone to leak and the cables break , im not that lazy, i can jack the car up and loosed some nuts.
ill post some pics, its really basic, but will serve its purpose

 

I was running a single electric cutout on my mustang when I still had it. With it opened I probably gained a good 15-20 horsepower, and it sped up spool too

i was thinking the same thing...

 

let us know how it does when you get it installed and running. i know some people who said they got slower times at the track WITH the cutout, but i think that boosted cars might get some better results.
