Default turbo d15b7 question

Hey guys got a quick question!
I have a hatchback with the stock DX motor, d15b7. I've heard good things and about about these motors for boosting. I won't swap it out, if I do it iwll be for a d16z6. I like single cams personally Anyways this will be my first project, and im just a few dollars away from getting a manifold and being able to bolt on my kit. Now im having doubts about the bottom end of the d15b7. Anyone have any personal experiances. Not my friends friends friends sisters brother boosted 15psi and blew up with no fuel managment. Looking for first hand experiances. I heard they are weaker then the z1 but im not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
Matt

welllll..........

I blew up my stock Y8 motor cuz of lack of management.

you can boost that motor no problem just don't be greedy.
The bottom end is actually weaker but not where it counts. your rods will be the first thing that breaks down there and all d series rods are puny to begin with so it's a MOOT point. **** don't matter.

here are my suggestions:
HONDATA ************!

or the afc, probably better for your app. cuz you aren't gonna boost past 8 PSI not that you couldn't but you shouldnt....

Get a Y8 head

I have a stock HX mani With the adapter plate to fit a T3 flange in my basement you want it?

good luck!

Thanks for the reply,
Hondata would be nice but I think it would be a bit overkill for what I want to do right now. I bought a 12:1 FMU which should let it run pretty rich. I'll probaly just run 5psi daily and a little more at the track but not much. I'm just looking to have a little fun with it for now. Is the HX manifold same as the HF type manifold? I have an RHB5 that is a T3 but I doubt has the same bolt patern. Is the adapter welded on? Let me know, thanks

Man those d15 rods are very weak. The d16z6 bottom end is definately stronger for forced induction.

if you don't want the mani, i'll take it . seriously, if your giving it away, i'll pay for shipping and make myself a T25 flange. I need a manifold to drop my turbo setup in this break. thanks, peace.
