Default Turbo Question

So, I've been on here just a short while and most of my questions I've been able to answer myself by reading the FAQ's and other people's threads, but this I'm just not sure on...

Is it common to FI the d15 motor? I see lots of threads on turbocharged d16's and b16's... but I'm not even sure if there are turbo kits for the d15?

The reason I ask is because I have a low mileage d15 and am used to working on turbo cars; I think it's a very cost-effective way of getting more HP for your $$$.

So, maybe point me in the right direction? It would have to be a pretty solid trustworthy kit.

Use a d16 kit, it fits the same, you will probably have to use either a z6 or a y8 intake manifold though, at least that would make it easier

depends on what d15 it is as long as it was not a 86-91 d15 and is a 92-95 d15 any d16 turbo kit will fit. the d15 is not a very strong platform to work from. these stock motors are not meant to take much. u would be better off looking into a d16 or b18 to boost or build another block for boost. it is possible to boost a d15 but as far as reliability thats going to depend on the turbo kit you buy, maintenance, and tune you have for the car and not pushing it deep into its limits. low mileage motor isn't going to mean much with a shyty base map.

Sorry, I should have added that it is a d15b7. I don't plan on pushing it at all.
