spark plugs for built all motor engine
so i did a search and didnt find anything so hopefully by answering this question it will help out me and other people down the road<if it comes up again> so which is a good plug to run on a high comp all motor engine? im running a 2l at 12:1 C/R but still have the stock plugs. are these good enough? should i be running somthing else? the cars already been tuned wioth the stock ones in, so should i just leave it as is? just wondering....
you might be able to run 6s with that compression. though you may see some
gain from a 7.
I use the following:
PFR6G11
PFR7G11
BKR6EVX11
BKR7EVX11
gain from a 7.
I use the following:
PFR6G11
PFR7G11
BKR6EVX11
BKR7EVX11
ngk plugs says:
In identical spark plug types, the difference from one heat range to the next is the ability to remove approximately 70°C to 100°C from the combustion chamber.

kewl, so since im running 6's now with no problem what so ever, would you say going to a 7 would be ok, or should i just stay with the 6's? what kind of gain would i see with the 7's if any? do you think it would be worth changing to a 7? which one do you think my engine would prefer? thanks for the info so far! so since the 7 would be going colder and the 6's are the ones i have now, should i just stick with those? every now and then i feel a little hesitation up top, not sure why though.
also while were on the subject, what do you guys think about those bigger spark plug wires, will they do anything at all for my engine? or are they still a waste of money for the price they are?

just like youwant to run the lowest octane possible(that doesnt cause detonation),
you want to run the hottest plug that does not cause detonation.

UK ITRs get 7s and stock in the UK also I wonder why they are a heat range cooler with only 11.1:1 CR? Anyone got any ideas?

You can get them from Napa. Probably special order items...at least they are 'round deez purts.
NGK PFR7G-11 = 2380 ($12.88)
NGK BKR7E-11 = 1283 ($1.99)
Side note: The BKR7E(VX)-11's are platinum, not the copper electrode part and stock numbers I listed. They're probably $12.88 too.
The PFR (Laser) platinums look like they have a more protruding electrode/core, and the VX's are more recessed.
