Default What are these parts called?

What are these parts called? Where can I order them?
Does anyone know the price of them?

Don't ask me how that hole got in there?

When I sold my JRSC I sent this part with it. Tonight I was throwing on my stock Manifold (6 months later ) and I noticed I was missing this part.

The black can is called the "Oil Accumulator" it is part of the PCV system.

The other part is a bypass valve assembly. I don't know the real name of it.

Randy

BTW-How did that hole get there?

Yep, the black box is the oil breather tank that separates atomized oil from the air in the crankcase. It can be ordered from a dealer or a discount oem parts supplier.
It looks to me that someone cut that hole in there on purpose, probably trying to relieve excess crancase pressure by giving an alternate path of flow.

The other part is the air control valve, it can also be bought from the same locations...of maybe someone on H-T is selling a spare one.

The black thing is the charcoal canister, or breatehr chamber.
The other thing is the IACV.

Thanks for the help guys.

I have no idea how the hole got there? One day when in boost my oil pressure dropped and I notices smoke coming from the back of my car. Or course I thoght the engine was toast. Then I do the whole troubleshooting and find a hole in that box.

The hole in the oil separator is probably because it was butted up against the JRSC while the JRSC was installed. When you install the JRSC, you have to cut off one of the oil separator's mounting tabs. If you don't install the remaining 2 bolts that hold the oil separator to the block, it will end up resting against the JRSC.

In the factory service manual the black box is actually called the oil seperator box. My guess is that insted of cutting off the tab on the box they just bent it back and forth with a pair of pliers. You should be able to take out the PCV valve out of the box and shake it. if it shakes it is fine do NOT replace it. If you do not hear anything when you shake it then buy a new one. When you install the IACV make sure the screen is clean. if not take a cigarette lighter and clean the carbon off the screen. if you have any more questions email me at grand6000@aol.com

Thats the chevy box, Honda desided this black box with a hole in it so that it would leak oil and make the car smoke just like a chevy. It lubricates the whole engine bay.

I've got that black box off my car. I had to remove it to install the Endyne Catch can. If it's the same as the one off your car, I'd be glad to sell it to yah just for $10 shipped. Mine's off an OBD0 b16a.

Let me know if you need it via IM, or email me at jdmcivic@hotmail.com
