Oil on rear bumper
I have a 98 Type R. It has about 70,000 miles and all
of a sudden it has started using oil and has a black spray on the rear bumper.
If you gun the engine a black smoke comes out of the exhaust. I have seen a lot
of Acura's and Honda that seem to have the same issues. Do you have any
suggestion on what may be causing this?
Thanks, Wayne Riggan IM678-557-6901

LOL, posting your phone number? My ex girlfriends 97 CW had alot of oil on her back bumper. What causes it? Maybe bad rings? Or just plain ole hittin VTEC alot, she had approximately 90K miles the car a few years ago. High mileage.
You can remove the oil with a claybar.

hey man im in lawrenceville too. I havent seen you around. What color is your ITR? I live off of 29 and 124. I have a 94 Black Si hatch on black 14" HX's and i have an ITR swap.
You should check out importlounge.com and come out to the meets on thursday nights.
Your blackness on the back bumper is probably due to running rich. I have a chipped ECU in my car and it runs really rich, and im blowing black smoke also. As long as the smoke isnt blue or white, im not worried. Running rich=shoot flames.
