Yes, so long as he has some kind of fuel management. Stock Teg ECU's don't play well with larger injectors.

hondata wont work with dsm injectors.

not sure about other tuning systems.

and, you will need to get it tuned, or get your ecu chipped with a program that is setup for the injector size you end up getting.

and he'll need a resistor box because the dsms are peak/hold and ours are saturated

Hondata continues to work fine with my DSM 450's. Im still not sure why Doug posted that.

Youll need a resistor box from an older Honda, or you can use 10 watt 10 ohm resistors inline...$1.79 a pair if I remember right. That and a way to control them.

As for fuel management being needed. He has apexi SAFC, and fuel pressure regulator to go with it. So an aft. ECU or a Hondata isnt needed, or is it.

what exactly is a resistor box? isnt that just a little resistor in the ecu. Which older cars can we get one?

thx

You can get the resistor box from an 88-91 Civic/CRX HF/Si, 92-96 Prelude, 90-91 Integra, etc.

DSM injectors are peak & hold as opposed to the stock saturated injectors. Honda computers require injector impedence of 10ohms, and peak and hold are much lower. The resistor box compensates for the difference.

If you don't run the resistor box, you can fry a portion of your ECU because the ohm ratings are off. You need the resistor box to allow the ECU to properly use the injectors.

You also need some kind of fuel management that will allow you to lean/richen areas up in your map.
