Default Problems with B16a swap. Please help

Ok. First off, I bought the car with the swap already complete, Im just trying to fix it before I start modding it further. The car doesnt like to Idle until its been running for a little while. I know that the battery is going bad and Im not sure if the alternator is following suit. There is no exhaust on the car other than a header, so there is no O2 sensor at the cat, since there isnt one there to hook up yet. Also, the ECU seems to randomly change the rev limit. The first time that it did it was when I had lost a lot of coolant. This we later found out was because of a faulty radiator cap. It set the rev limit to 3k. Now that is fixed, but it randomly sets the rev limiter to 7k rather than 8.2k. My header has 2 O2 sensors but only one is plugged in. Do I need another wiring harness in order to plug it in? Should I not plug it in? Im just curious. Also, how do I know for sure if the vtec function is working properly? From what I have heard it takes some wiring in order to get that to work properly. Any ideas as to what could be going wrong with my car, please let me know.

Adam: Just happy to finally have a swaped Rex.

Pr3s have a cold rev limit so you cant engage vtec or rev to 8k if your motor is not warmed up.

We have a winner here folks. I went to the track today. I got a marvelous 16.443@86.2 We decided to check out the wiring and found out that there are several problems. There are wires hooked where they shouldn't be, there are missing wires. Too top it all off, the O2 sensor that isnt hooked up is the secondary sensor that is required for Vtec. So Im off to rewire my car and pray I get it done in time to run at the track on friday.
