Building N/A block project... 2.0 b16 or b18c
i'm gonna start on my 2.0 project... and i was wondering should i resleeve or deck a b16 or b18c block? i still want to retain oil squirters and wanting to use a block designed for vtec.... i'm not a fan of hybrid motors(sorry guys
) so no b20 for me.
i was wonder which block/parts to stroke the motor... it'll be under 12:1 CR and should be on jun 3's
i just wanna find out which route i should take right now, and seeing what would give me a good r/s ratio.

Just sleeve the b18c and go big bore. 11.5:1 compression. Wiseco makes good pistons, eagle rods will be fine too. With the right head setup and bolt-ons you can expect 230-240whp. Good Luck.

I doing the a similar setup.Do a search and look for topics created by me and they should help you alot.Im planning on going with a gsr block sleeve to 84mm with je pistons and very nice head i picked up from dual cams.Im hoping for 12's all motor with the right header.

230-240 is kinda high....It'd probably be more like 220~225 or so

so all i need is to resleeve w/ piston and rods? all plug and play? no crank swapping needed? custom rods? nothing?
Use oem b18c crank, Eagle b18c rods and pistons to fit your bore.
You might want to get the headgasket bored also to match the block bore.

If you resleeve a B18C, no crank swapping necessary. Custom pistons and rings, compression ratio of your choice, some Eagle or Crower rods, and your block will be good to go. The trick to making power is in the head.

I agree. Headwork definitely needs to be done right. It would also help to get your intake manifold match ported to your head.
