all spoon accord+h22a= will beat what...????
friends 90 accord got a h22a power plant about 2 months ago.... he allready raced a 2001 v6 accord... he only lost by about half a car..... is this right....????? shouldnt he smoke it becouse his car is alot lighter...... and tonight he raced a RSX non type S.... as they took off.... the RSX pulled away completely..... the accord didnt get a chance to hit the vtec on second becouse the street got all bumpy... shouldnt he smoke that too.....????? he has intake with a weapon R V2 filter, DC 4-2-1 header, straight pipe with a medallian exhuast, and a mugen program on his computer...... is that enough....???? what should he do to his engine to make it faster..... he wants to spend about a grand.... and he wants to be able to feel the difference.... and not destroy his five thousand dolar investment......
but what could be wrong....??? everything feels to be fine.... do you think its the timing..... when he shifts.... the intake pops and a blue flame pops out of the exhaust....??? what could it be......
h22's have secondaries in the intake manifold.. so either run the stock ecu(p13) or a gsr ecu(p72).. b/c most likely you guys are running on a p28 chipped with a mugen program... that ecu is for single runner intake manifolds. if you are dragging get the p72.. street p13(jdm p13 vtec kicks hard). you should do alot better.. if you want a chipped ecu.. get the p13 or p72 then chip that..
what is the major difference between a p72 and a p13..... and what is the ecu i have good for...... the car runs all right with it.... but i know the other cars wouldnt of had a chance..... and the program it has right now... it does wonders on the freeway.... but thats the only place it kicks.... and i think you are so right about the ecu being a p28... where did that comefrom......
if he didnt beat that rsx non type s there is something major wrong with that car, my friend had a 91 accord with h22 stock header with intake/exhaust and he beats rsx type s with bolt on by three cars.

the ecu you have is out of a 92-95 civic, its very common to run a p28 chipped... p28 have a good platform. but you should really run a p72 or jdm p13

i called the shop that did the swap.... they told me that a p 13 is hard to come by... i also heard that a USDM p13 is better than a JDM p13.... and that the JDM ecu doesnt go over 120mph...... now im trying to look for a USDM p13.... is that a good move...???
it doesn't go over 120 mph.. but you can remove the speed limiter, i prefer the JDM unit.. i haven't felt the vtec of a USDM one.
well... first i need to find the ecu..... how much do you think i will score on one.... i allready got a price like 275 bucks.... but damn..!! is that how much it is every where.....
