Default Turbo and JRSC on FULLY built motor!

Can this be done? My friend has a b18c1 2.0L engine. He is running 10 pound of boost on the JRSC and his compression is 10:5:1. Lastime he had his car tunned it put put 336 HP and 253 foot pounds of torque! That is with a 50 shot of ZEX. He has the rev set to 9 grand. Some big machine shop in Texas that put the motor together for him said that it will withstand 700HP. On top of that the car is a daily driver. He plans on putting a T88 turbo charger with the JRSC. He is gona run 8 psi. Now I have faith in the man because he knows his stuff, but I am skeptical about this set up. Can it be done or has anyone ever done this before?

Oh ya ta give you an idea how fast it is already; 94 Civic CX HB, full interior on BFG T/A drag radials he runs a 11.1 in the 1/4!

well it can be done. i wouldnt do it. you do get the advantage of no turbo lag. and better top end i guess. not sure what all the adv/dis adv are but i know it def is possible.

I want to know about this too. My only question is when the JRSC is boosting the bypassvalve is closed. With that said would the boost from the turbo be able to go through the rotors or would it be a big bottle neck. I would think that the turbo would spool and build boost but not be able to run properly. The only way I know to do it would be to get some kind of device that would open the bypass valve after a predetemined time or somthing that would sence boost over say 6 psi then open back up. Let me know if you have anymore information. thanks all

You would have to buy pass the supercharger when the blower was running. It would probably require a new intake manifold and other custom parts to be built.

Ok.

But why add such a restriction like a JRSC, when a more efficient turbo can get the job done with less headaches? If his motor is built with sleeves/internals, then all he needs is a large turbo (t3/t4, or even t4/60-1) and more boost + fuel. Adding a JRSC will only cause more problems and have NO BENEFIT! (Wait, don't tell me he want's MORE LOW END, hence the SC?) BUHAHAHAHAH!

BTW, he's not going to use a T88. Trust me on this.
