Replaced Headgasket ~ problems.... (help!)
My bud blew (leaking) his hg with in 2 days of boosting his civic (d16y8). We decided to replace it with an SCE 3mm. All went well except that we did this on sunday and as it turned out the ARP's were the wrong size. So we reused the stock headbolts. The head looked* fine with no obvious signs of warpage. We got the car back together and went for a drive. Everything seemed ok untill we got home after slight boosting. Coolant blew out of the overflow tank. No overheating.
Do you guy think that the head is warped? Need new headbolts-studs? Thermostat? Something else? Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like compustion pressure in the cooling system for sure. You re-used the oem head bolts right?
**I'm betting that those used torque-to-yield head bolts can not deliver proper tension to load the headgasket on this second time use. Try new head bolts or get the right sized APR studs.
I doubt the cyl head is warped but you may as well check it while it is removed. As long as you are not over heating and the engine still can achive operating temp, the thermostat is probably fine. Good luck
