whos made rear speaker enclosures?
I want to modify my rear "trays" to hold speakers but I also wanna make some sort of sealed bottom for the speakers. I've searched but didn't find anything like this but know some of you guys have dont this. Let me hear what you guys have done or any ideas.
if you look at the stock speaker adapters, they bolt on top of the tray and give it enough volume to hold a 6.5". i just bought the speakers adapters off ebay, but my friend made them out of mdf. he glued two 3/4" thick pieces together, then cut them down to fit the tray, and then sealed them to the tray using stick on weather stripping. he also sprayed them black. it sounds fine and looks ok.
medium density fiberboard=mdf
this is what people mostly use for making speaker enclusures.
i think that phatwippin did something like what your taking about i cant find his website at the moment tho.
