Default CP 035 question - wheelnuts

HT-members,

I`m in search for decent wheelnuts and centercaps for my ride....
Takakaira.com only sent me the rims, no nuts.....
Maybe somebody can help me with some info where to purchase centercaps or which light wheelsnuts fit this rim...

Thanks!

Sven

Either with a 'hub centric ring'.... of slowly installing the nuts while tapping the tire (with your hand) to help the taper on the lugs center themselves in the hole on the wheel.

I choose the latter method.

True, that`s what I do every time I have to put on the rims.. but I wonder why racing hart is not able to deliver nuts and hib centric rings with their rims....
I wonder if Rays fit the cp 035 or if they made for stock rims....
Damn, there is no market in Europe.. This board is the only info-source we got.

A good machine shop should be able to make you some hubcentric rings if you give them the specs. I had those wheels and was running the skunk2 lugs with them, slightly different color, but they looked good. Call Dazz for more info.

rays lug nuts will work fine... as will spoon, skunk2, etc... just pick the color you like...

As for the hubcentric ring, if you could find out what the inner diameter of the wheel is for that ring, then we could recommend some...

And as to the centercap question - I don't know... custom or something. I honestly haven't seen a racing hart centercap for those wheels. You could get some extra axle nut caps like come on the rear of your car and put them on the front too... that's what I do.....

Hey, Sven!

Here in Holland is a small wheel shop were i bought my CP's and they sold also wheel caps for them.
Its a simple silver cap nothing more, nothing less....
The caps are made for the R version of the cp-035 line, so the color is a little strange for the winning gold rim.
But, maybe they can make them in winning gold...

Frank.

That`s 16*7,5 !

Frank, hey there !!

Could you investigate this for me ?? That would be really nice !!
I pay for it.

As for the lugs, I will go for the Rays in red...
The writing on the rims is red also...

Here's what the red rays lugnuts look like:

Also, if you get any info on what size hubcentric rings and/ or centercaps can be used - please post up. I am thinking about getting a set of these in 15x7.5 very soon..... You could maybe anodize the centercap the same color as the wheels, or possibly red like the lugnuts...

I had painted my OEM hub black when I got those wheels and screw a center cap, racecars don't use no stinkin' center cap I failed to mention earlier that just before I got rid of those wheels I was running the black Rays lugs on them. That looked pretty clean:black tire, black lugs, black hub. When I had CE28N's I got rings made for them, but chit wasn't cheap, about $80. Bottom line is you have one of the lightest wheels on the planet now and from what I've heard the hubcentric ring issue is not a huge one for most H-cars. 1)drive 2)wash 3)repeat,step 2 is optional.
