Default 95 integra ls, cel code 5, is it a map sensor problem?

i check the cel codes and got 5 fast flashes, looked around on the net and found out that it's the map sensor. I changed out the map sensor, replaced all the vacuum hoses, and reseted the ecu but still comes out to cel code 5. What else could cause the problem? thanks

Before changing the sensor, did you check to see if the sensor was bad? It could be bad wiring between the sensor & the ECU.

I had a code 3 and it turned out to be a wire was loose on the map sensor.

how do i check if the connection is good? The connector has three wires going to it, I know how to use a multimeter. Which wires are ground and power? thanks

My '95 Integra Helm manual says code 3 is MAP sensor, code 5 doesn't exist. What's up with that?

All 3 wires for the MAP sensor go to the ECM. D17 on the ECM harness is Wht/Yel at the MAP sensor. D19 is Yel/Red (Yel/Wht for GS-R). D21 is Grn/Wht.

With the ignition on, check each outer terminal vs. the center one. Should be 5v in both cases. Otherwise, there's a fault tree but I'm too lazy to type it all here. Wouldn't hurt to get yourself a Helm manual.

the blinks are very short. Less than a second, probably a milisecond. There's five blinks and it just repeats five blinks. tia
