well i had a garrett t3, interally wastegated...and put a turbonetics t3/t4 with tial external wastegate...i dont have my dumptube yet so i didn't put anything on that tial....and i started my car and it was all good...and then i drove it and it started smoking?? and i was like maybe it's not gettin oil and i took off the oil line started it and it shot like 30 ft. so i was like yea it's getting oil....and for some reason it feels slower then my garrett t3? It's running a 1.75" d/p and stock exhaust...my 2.5" d/p will be here tomorrow and my 3" exhaust mid week. Does it feel slower because of how restrive everything is? Also the tial is a .8 spring? so thanks...

 

i wont be much help here but,the t3 /t4 will take longer to spool but it should give you more top end.what manifold are you using also?

that 1.75 piping is killing you. That like tieing a rope around your neck and telling you to blow up a balloon. Getthat crap on then test it. And how many pounds r u running this time and on the old turbo?

 

dont have the boost gauge up on this one..but my old set up was about 7ish

 

anybody else? why is it smoking?

have you checked to see if the wastegate is melting anything??
