I am in the process of putting some new msd stuff in the car and when trying to get to the coil i can't get teh rotor off.
i got the screw out, but the rotor will not budge. is there something i am missing?

fast help would be great.

 

I had the same problem, But what I heard on here was Y00 g0t to smash it off- break the plastic rotor then remove the screw.

Does anyone want to confirm what I said?

 

no way whoudln't have to break it. i thought i was supposed to pop right off.

Lightly pry it off, ya know wiggle twist turn... it will pop off just might take a extra min or two since you have the screw out

 

i had one that was seized on. i was prelacing the dizzy any ways but we had to break it off to get the back plastic cover off. I woul djust lightly pry on it and becaareful.

i got it off i just put a flat head behind it and popped it off.
i was just not pulling hard before.

Yeah I really had some troble getting that screw off, but not the actual rotor. Glad you got it off though

what did you guys do to get the screw out? ive tried everything i can think of minus an impact driver... its getting frustrating

 

take the distributor off, as a friend mentioned to me

 

whos gonna set the distributor timing when you put back on?
