sticky gas pedal

my gas pedal is very sticky, everytime i step on the gas the car jerks, when i rev the motor from the actual throttle it was fine...what can i do to resolve this problem?

sounds like the throttle cable is sticking, spray some type of lubricant on your throttle cable and it should go away
