installing MSD cap and external coil
You just extend the wires : http://www.geocities.com/wyvnz/MSD.html
If you are going to install yourself, make sure that you install everything at the same time. There was a guy who installed just the cap, thinking they were pretty much the same thing, and ended up ruining the cap and the stock coil. The power was arcing through the silicone that was there to house the tip of the stock coil and that is what burned. Just make sure that you take the whole distributor out of the car so you can get all the wiring done right and soldered, as well as take the stock coil out. That way, you will do everything right on the first try and it will look cleanly and professionally done.
you dont have to take out the whole distributer, unless you want a big pain in the *** job, just extend the wires that went to the internal coil, out to whereever you mount the external coil, simple as that!
i got the whole thing done and it still fukk'd up my distributor... i was using the msd sci with blaster ss coils...i had the get a new one and the the coil isn't even attatched anymore... fukk'n sucks

Yep, just attach the coil via the coil wire to your MSD cap and extend the + wire from where it was on the stock coil to the + on your new coil. Do the same for the -ve.
