i was wondering what shock and sprng kit to buy for my 91 hatch. I'm got more for function over form but would like to drop it about 1.6-1.8 in the front and 1.8-2.0 inches in the back since the rear is so light and like one inch taller stock. Does anyone know of or have a good set up on their hatch (a picture would be nice)
here is exactly 2" drop all the way around...
I'm running Suspension Techniques springs and monroe shocks because they're cheap, but if you want performance, most racers will tell you Ground Control coilovers with Koni adjustible shocks.
edit: swapped photo for more recent, less space consuming shot.

I remember 2 years ago when my 89' hatch looked as good as yours. Then one rainy night I aproached a 25mph onloop to I-5 at the Gateway Mall going about 65-75mph. I was in the left lane when I realized that I was missing my exit, so I swerved over to make it and when I hit the gravel that's in the dividing, my rear end came loose. I was heading directly towards the guardrail, so I downshifted, turned, WOT, pulled it around, but still sideswipped the guardrail, and went flying straight into some bushes. I was sober, the DOT came...luckily it was my brothers friend. He took pictures, a report, and called my parents/towtruck. My car was still drivalble but I had it towed anyway. I guess that 's about it?

Those are 15" wheels with 195/50-15 tires, no camber kit (yet). when I got the springs they acually advertised a 1.8" drop all the way around, but I measured from the fender to the center hub and it was 2" exactly.
yes, those are the stock Std bumpers painted white w/ an Si front lip (also painted)
And before anyone slams me for it, yes those are clear tails / corners. I don't care if people think it's "rice" I like the way they make the lights dissapear on the white car. And as far as them being illeagal, I've been pulled over numerous times and the officers have never even mentioned them. And the big XM antenna on the side window is gone now.
