Default What is considered a "long blink" compared to a "short blink" when reading CEL codes? (Dumb question

Hey,
My car (97 Civic EX Coupe) threw a code about two weeks ago, one blink, which I guess was short...the short blink is Code 1, which says defective primary oxygen sensor, the one in the header...so I changed that and the light never went away, even after I tried resetting the ECU and pulling the back-up fuse. Is it a possibility is could be Code 10, the IAT sensor? The light only blinked once, so I don't have a reference as to how long a long blink is compared to a short one. About how long is the pause between blinks? Sorry for the basic question, it's just that I have just enough money left to replace either the O2 sensor again if it was defective or buy an IAT sensor if I need one. Thanks.

A short blink is less than a second. A long blink is about 1.5 seconds.

not saying that you read this light but im just letting you know that it will flash very quickly once before the actuall cel blinks start.

Oh, ok...when I turn the car on to start the CEL lights up, blinks once, then stays on. It doesn't go out or anything, it will only go out if I turn off the car. Then when I start it up again, it does the same thing...goes on, blinks once, then stays on.

You have to jump the two pin SCS connector under the glove box to access the code.
