Hey fellas I just changed my rotors and pads front wheel and the car shakes a lot everytime I brake hard when I am going fast. Any ideas what could be the problem? any help will be appreciated.

 

Good possibility your rotors aren't true or you've got an oily spot on them.

 

Probably high spots on rotors. They should wear down eventually. Usually its takes a while for pads to seat properly too.

 

What brand are they?

 

so should I wait a little and see if they set right? and the rotor I bought at pet boys. and I also clean the rotors with a brake cleaner. So I don't know what is wrong.

 

Did you clean the hub surface where the rotor mounts? A piece of crud under the rotor will make it wobble.

Did you overtighten your lug nuts? That could warp your rotors.

I was trying to figure out how to ask if you cleaned off all that greasy crud that always comes on new rotors... Good thing you already did that.

 

I don't think I overtight the lugs but if I would loosen then up a little would that solve the problem if in any case I did overtight them?

 

loosen and then retorque to spec... you dont want your lug nuts falling off now...

 

If you still have a problem, try using a on-car brake lathe. Sometimes even new rotors aren't true.
