which one is power and ground???!
could someone tell me on 00 accord the rear speakers which one is ground and power? there is a red wire with yellow stripe and a brown wire with white strip, thanks.
cool your right, also i another question now where whould i run the remote wire? there doesn't seem to be an extra 12volt slot on the accord's fuse box as opposed to a few in my teg's fusebox.
The radio should have the remote output if it is after market. If it is not, splice into the power wire for the head. The remote will be live whenever the car is on though.

Honda/acura's are the easiest when it comes to speaker wire coloring. the brighter, livelier colors are the positive.. i.e.) red or blue. negatives are the crappy not so fun colors. i.e.) brown or gray.
you should be able to tap into ignition wire from the back of your radio if it is still stock. that year accord didn't have a power antenna so you can't tap into that if it's still the factory one. good luck!!

so i can just splice it into the power wire connecting to the back of the stock head unit? would one of you guys be able to tell me which wire i have to use? the 12 volt red or the 12 volt battery/constant yellow?
well it's my friends car so wanna "measure twice cut once" idea, also i spliced into his rear speakers for the high level inputs, but we haven't hooked up the amp and he says that right now he can't get any sound in the rear, is something wrong?
Probably bad crimp/splice. You will need a DMM if you want to do this quickly. Make sure that you are not grounding the wires that you spliced in. Use the dmm to check continuity between the added wire and the speaker terminal.
Tape the ends of the wire if they are not going to be connected right now. And do not let them ground or touch each other.

okay i was gonna connect the remote lead to the back of the head unit. now there are 4 red wires, one solid red, and it didn't work until i turned the panel lights on, do you guys know which wire for the accord headunit will give power when there is power in the ignition? my other friend suggested tapping into the factory clock, is that spot okay? thanks for the help so far guys.
to figure out which wire gives power in "on" position, get a voltage tester. It's a probe with a lightbulb in it that lights up when connected to a power source.
okay i used a circuit tester, on the stock radio harness now, it will not light up until i turn ont he panel lights so i won't be able to use anything there, is there anything else i can hook up the remote wire too?
