Default Getting new rims, plz help in offset

Hey guys. I have a 2001 GSR and I'm getting a set of gunmetal 17x7.5 Volk Racing Gram Lights with Toyo Proxes T1S rubber in 205/40/17.

I have checked the offset on the rim and for our cars its only available in +40. Is this going to give me problems?

I will drop 2", no camber kit... yet. What would be the optimal offset? Does anyone else have this setup?

Thanks

-Diabolik

you wont rub without a camber kit, with one you might have problembs,

i currently run 1.8 inch drop, camber kit and 16x7 with 215/45 and it rubs so i rolled the fenders

i have a 42mm offset and i have no problems... i have the Eibach Pro-kit (1.4 in front 1.0 in rear) no camber kit or anything, just springs for now. Maybe Type R shocks if they will work.

I have 2 in drop
and 17in w/205/40/17
and no problem here

offset
dead center is -0-
positive all fwd cars like +40 this moves further to the front of the rim
negative rwd cars like -10 this moves into the inner part of rim

Bump. I really want the gram lights, but 17x7.5 +40 offset is all they offer in my bolt pattern.

Does ANYONE have 17" gram lights on their teg?
