z6 swap in 94 dx hatch everything but vtec will work right??
this is for a friend, were gonna swap a z6 sohc vtec in his dx hatch. From what i understand everything will be a direct swap right? The car will run right, but no vtec. Is there a ghetto way to get vtec on for now, like hooking up to switch or something... anything to look for, thanks so much
That is correct. Use the z6 wiring harness. Run a wire from D3 on the ecu to the VTEC solenoid. More detailed info at http://www.hybridgarage.com

It will work but you will need to wire the vtec sol. and the vtec pressure switch. Also the power and signal wire for the Evap purge sol.

ok if you want this to be about as easy as possible then... if the z6 comes with the wire harness then GOOD but if it doesn't then find one and use it... everything plugs in... then you'll have to run two wires FROM the ECU TO the HARNESS... the two wires you will have to run, IF you follow the wire harness is the GREEN W/ YELLOW stripe (vtec solenoid) to A4 in the ecu
pressure switch) to D6 (there is no wire there right now, you have to put one there) and that should be it.....
