It's going to lag a lot. I hope you have some tricks up your sleeve to get it to spool quicker. Depending on your setup, you may NOT even be able to spool that baby up till 8k.

Some tricks to get quicker spool up.

-higher compression
-displacement (bigger bore)
-a nice intake mani
-a nice flowing equal length tubuler exhaust mani. Don't even bother with a log style manifold.
-TUNING!!
-Ball bearing. If the turbo was ball bearing it would help out a lot.

nitrous spools very nice. a small shot. you can even hook it up to a preassure switch so that the nos shuts off after boost kicks in.

 

if this is the same turbo from the car i think he got it from, it wont have a problem spooling, might take a lil longer but definately not 8k
