Default vafc install

i just had a quick question about installing a vafc. i have an obd1 conversion on my car and i was wondering if i should splice into the conversion harness of the vehicle harness. or maybe it doesnt matter either way. any help is appreciated. thanks

i would do it in the conversion harness. that way if you decide to remove the system then you can do so without having to repair the stock harness. trust me i wish i had done so

isn't there a VAFC plug and play unit?...could you use that with the obd1 conversion?

thats what i was thinking, but im really not sure what my obd1 ecu is, i think its a chipped p28, my roomie gave it to me a while back and the conversion harness in not color coded or labeled or anything

Nope. Kenji (and others) make harness with all the leads for the VAFC for easy install. Kenji's are color coded wires to match the VAFC wiring too.

Nope. Kenji (and others) make harness with all the leads for the VAFC for easy install. Kenji's are color coded wires to match the VAFC wiring too.

wire it into the jumper/adapter using pin outs to figure out which wires to splice. pain in the ***.. but

thanks dave, i was gonna do that as a last resort, ill havd to find the pins and trace the wires into the adapter. the odds are higher that something might get messed up
