It's probably an OBX manifold.....

I wouldn't buy it personally due to it looks like it would crack

No thats not OBX crap. I have seen some of SSAutochromes manifolds in person and have a customer that has had one on a civic for nearly 9 months now with no problems.

from what i can see, its a turbo-performance manifold

http://www.turbo-performance.com/Pro...ll_headers.htm

a friend put one on his car, and the day he started the car up, the manifold instantly cracked and the turbo fell right off the engine. These make meng headers look like quality.

I think you're right. It looks like he just used the pic off their website:

BTW, their collectors look like ***.

With space constraints, you pretty much have to go with a formed collector
or make your own by welding the 4 tubes together.

hey, i was just looking at these manifolds yesterday too, do you think they're THAT bad, i mean of course you get what you pay for but i'm not planing on running any extreme set-up, just a decent daily driver set up, wouldn't this work? doesn't seem like it'll easily crack or anythin. and dude, it's only like $300-$400 i believe, you can't beat that!

You get what you pay for. The manifold will crack, it will cause headaches.

Daily driving is the worst abuse for turbo manifolds. Actually, heat cycles is what kills them, and daily driving has the most. A racecar will see as many heat cylces in a season as my car sees in one day, and thats why you want a VERY stout manifold for daily driving....that thing does not look stout to me...

OBX, MENG, That thing! ... they are all the same... JUNK! If you are a acheap *** and want to get this turbo and have it crack on you constantly than go for it. Otherwise i would recomend a hand made unit from tinker or Geof. Or go my route... I use a Mani. made my MP Racing and drive my car 40 miles a day for the past two years and have never had it crack. It doesnt look as nice as that one but it is alot heavier and stronger than the one pictured. I wouldnt get it.
