Is my car slow?
Hello all,
I'm new here. I was wondering if I could get everyone's opinion here. I ran my car at Sacramento Raceway not too long ago and was wondering if my 1/4 mile time is rather slow or not.
My setup is:
Skunk2 coils
AEM CAI
14.9 - with slicks
15.9 - without

Ive never heard of a stock DC4 runnin 14.9 with slicks. My DA has a new B18A, ran a 15.8 when it was stock, on street tires... but thats only because I know how to race.

Kind of a dumb question but what do you mean by you know how to race? On a quarter mile you really just need to know how to get a good start to get the correct time. As for the 14 seconds I call shenanigans.

if your very good, a stock gsr might be able to go under 15...

I doubt that...I think stock R's will be able to do that but not a stock gsr...or maybe I'm just dumb

It takes a long time and a lot of skill to figure out how to run your car down the 1320. It's not just let off clutch, press gas pedal, get best time. Dont go talking about quarter mile racing if you have no idea what you're talking about. You're probably one of those people who started modding performance wise before you even got a feel for the car. How can you get the potential from the car without learning how it acts first? Race down the 1/4 a bit more before you can talk about it.

I think a 14.9 on slicks is improbable, but not impossible, he could have done what you did and stripped it, removed the muffler and what not...
