Default Trying to turbo an h23 but can't get a straight answer

looking to turbo my h23A1 but i keep finding out things that don't make sense. I have been told by one person that if i do forged internals i have to sleave the motor, which is very expensive. I have been told my another that I don't have to sleave the motor but i can do forged internals and install a block guard. Then another person told me to hone the cylinders and install forged internals and that i can't do a black guard because it is a closed deck engine. Does anyone know the truth?? I am also looking for a nice turbo kit to install as well

your block is closed deck and it will need to be sleeved to use aftermarket pistons.

You will have to sleeve. Friend of mine just built his engine and he said that in under 2k miles he was burning oil like a ****. He pulled the head and he said it looked as if someone had taken an angle grinder to the cylinder walls.

Gold Eagle baby!

because the sleeves honda uses are made from a fiber material that does not like aftermarket piston and rings.
