Default Need your opinions please.

Straight forward question......Brand new Subaru WRX STi or a used 99 NSX (under 50k km on the engine). Other then that the NSX is quite clean all around no dents, no scratches, drives as it should etc etc. and is completely stock.

these are VERY different cars and difficult to compare.

you should drive each one of them and see what is right for you. is this a primary car? or a car that will go in the garage?

the nsx requires a bit more maintenance than a WRX and several of the daeler scheduled maintenance visits run more than just a few hundred.

there's nothing wrong with both cars at all, but it doesn't seem like you are too sure what you want. on one hand, a four door, front engine all wheel drive car that can carry lots. and on the other hand a two seater, mid engine rear wheel drive car that has limited strorage capacity.

Thanks for your input...but maybe i should have clarified myself a bit more...

Actually im already very educated on both cars and have my own opinion already but i thought it would be interesting to hear what you guys thought if it were up to you.

BTW the 99 NSX is goin for a similar price to a new WRX STi

cheers

if the used nsx is going for that much, then I would worry. especially being only a 99.

Im sorry but who the hell is going to pay $50k for an STi or EVO for that matter. Soon as the dealer mark up disappears, you just lost $15k. Greeaat investment.

BTW this is not ekfever, this is his buddy who is looking at purchasing either the NSX or STi, (he wanted me to point this out) im just using his account

to tell you the truth i wasnt really thinkn about it when i typed "similar price"....the point is that i could still pick up atleast ONE of those cars.

I currently have a 98 gsr so issues of 2 seater (NSX) or more is not really an issue. I've been reading a lot lately online and hear nothing but good **** about the STi, seems like its going to be a killer machine.

But i also love the exoticness of the NSX. I would consider other cars but i dont bother because i know my friend is gonna hook up a good deal for me for the NSX, and i've always been a fan of Subaru as well.

Ah well, back to work it is.

Well special as the WRx is, you're gonna regret not taking the NSX. Its a very uncommon car, and not everyone is gonna have one (even the sti).

50k for a subaru wrx , i build myself a super civic, s2000, or integra for that much money.
