I don't know if you read my post about sound deadening already or not... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=43134

Anyway, the quality of ride hasn't really changed at all, except the car's MUCH louder in the rain (because water bounces off the wheelwells and underneath the car... sound deadening would usually kill that noise).

You could get a CF or Fiberglass hood... that would reduce weight... ummm... I dunno, remove your muffler?!? J/K

Actually i am gonna get a carbon fiber hood. I dunno about the sound deadening stuff, i dont want all that noise, even if it is just in the rain, although i do listen to my music pretty loudly all the time anyway. Im about to put on a wings west rs body kit, im gonna document the whole thing and see if fiberglass weighs less than the stock plastic bumpers. Ill let you guys know what i come up with.

Also has anyone taken off the plastic covers under the front of the car? mines are pretty aged and some dangle a bit, i dont like the way they look and im thinking about removing them, anyone else remove them? have any problems? the only thing i can think they prevent is water and rocks from goin up inside your engine bay or radiator/fan.

Default Remove everything

My 1984 Civic Wagon is a couple hundred pounds lighter than it was when I bought it. If I didn't like, use or understand a part I threw it away. Still runs too. Wires, heat shields, brackets, bolts, back seats and belts, interior panels, noise insulation, rear wiper, front and rear wiper, most of the dashboard, and other stuff I can't think of right now are gone.
