Car stutters at 4500rpm- Due to 2nd butterfly I THINK.. any ideas
well around the mid 4000rpm range the car sputters a little then goes.. its killing ALL my power.... do i have to many mods for the butterfly to open and close in time or what.. i am gonna get the Skunk2 soon.. but its annoying as hell.. any ideas... btw its a 95 gsr

my friends car did the exact same thing, the butterfly stayed open and the timing was off so u wanna check that out. He got the skunk2 manifold and got the timing to tdc, runs freakin awesome. So check out the timing, but the secordary is killing ya get the skunk2 and a chipped p28.
the iab opens up 5750. any check engine lights ? the only things i could think of that would change it is actually replacing your intake manifold / a non p72 ecu/ vacuum leak.
I would check all the vacuum hoses around the area. sounds like your iab is staying open thus causing it to stutter when vtec activates around 4400

Per your signature you have a Type R motor, so there are no butterflies....and you already have an equilivant to a Skunk2 IM.
What ECU are you running? Chipped? Crappy tune? Most likely. Poor tuning will do that for ya.
