Default OBD-1/0 Problems

Just bought a d16z6 w/ brain. want to run the OBD-1 ecu and a jumper. I've been told i have to run the main OBD-1 plugs on the passenger and driver side, but the plugs match up pretty much the same except for a few wires left over. Has anyone done this swap because i need your help. Any help is greatly appreciated, need to get my new motor in and running. THanks. peace.
BTW to all hybiding guru's please.

i was going to do the Zdyne thing but ran out of money for that portion of my project. I have to just rig it how i can with the OBD-1/0 jumper. the plugs in the engine bay where you connect the motor harness to the car is what i am talking about. and the dizzy too.

You aren't supposed to be running the Z6 engine harness. The conversion jumper lets you plug the Z6 ECU to your STOCK ODB-0 harness. From there you are supposed to run a vtec wire, match up your STOCK egine harness distributor wire colors, and run wires out for the 4 wire O2 sensor (gotta use the 4 wire O2 as well).

Yes, run the stock wire harness on the new motor. Add the 4 wires for the O2 sensor and extend the wires for the Radiator Fan Thermal Switch because it is in a different place (On the thermostat housing of your D16Z6)

No, you cant use the 91 Si Dizzy with an OBD I ECU. run the new OBD I Dizzy but you will have to swap the plug on your engine harness with the plug from the scrap D16Z6 wire harness.

i heard there are extra wires on the dizzy plugs vs. the 91 harness, do you happen to have what wires go where and what the pin out is, thanks for all the help. really frustrated, just want to get my car running standard and fast already.

You already have everything you need. Yes - there are extra wires for the dizzy. They are for the crank angle snesor which tells the ECU when to utilize the other 2 injectors. You stock engine only had 2 injectors so it's 2 wires less. Just use the connector from the Z6 engine harness you have. Use the Z6 injectors with the P28 ECU. You won't need the Injector Resistor Box. Other than that you do exactly what is needed for an MPFI change over. Sinceyou are going OBD1 the only difference is that you add a 4 wire O2 sensor and the necessary wires to run it, and also rewire the dizzy plug to match the dizzy color code. Take a look at it, it's not hard to figure out.
