How safe is it to drive with a Hondata base map?

I got a basemap programmed by Payn Tech for the time being.
I plan on getting it tuned there once the AWD mustang dyno is install in the new shop, until then, I'll be running around in the basemap that Tom Payn gave me. (nice guy btw)
Turbo isn't quite in yet, but when it's all set, how should my driving be? I only plan on boosting very damn low aorund 5psi or so until I get it tuned. Should I COMPLETELY avoid VTEC?
Basically, I just want to know how hard I can drive it. Or should I just wait till I get it all installed, then run it, and see how it feels from there?

Yes it's called a base map, which is what he is asking about. Base map is like ... base model. It's the bare essentials to make the car drivable. It needs to be tuned before the car is run hard to insure the car runs properly especially under boost.
I'm running on one of tom's base maps, also waiting for his dyno to be installed.
From what I've experienced drive it around partial throttle, look and listen for anything and everything, use datalog if you have it (helps mucho). Once I felt confident I ran full throttle, I think tom's got a pretty good rep for burnin base maps. This is not really a recomendation, just my experiences.
btw- tom proabably already lowered your v-tec point, might be hard to stay out of it. I have been running around at 11 psi, feels much better than factory ecu.
