Removed AC and PS, do I need the front mount still?
Just removed the AC and the PS. Do I still need the front mount? Are their any negative affects to not running the front mount? I see alot hybrids not using this front mount anymore, what do you guys think?
if your primary mount comes loose nothing is left to hold onto the motor/trans
also it helps to control motor movement.

werd. motors falling out while going down the road suck!
jason kaplan aka katman did that and his driver side motor mount broke causing a semi-serious and possibly fatal (he was racing at buttonwillow I think) situation. Perhaps he can elaborate. Keep the motor mount in.
BTW, I need some hose brackets for the a/c system. Would you be interested in selling them? It is the mount to the upper rad support and the lower one too.

Yes, Yes, A thousand times yes.
I have seen the bolts shear off at the block on engines that didnt have both mounts. If that happens the engine, axles, and god knows what else are in for a world of hurt.

Considering the very small amount of weight that you would save in removing it, there is almost no positive result in removing the mount. Leave it...having the motor firmly attached to your car is a good thing.
