ok heres the deal i have a JRSC on my 97 GSR and u can def hear the whine of it but for some reason my brother just got one installed on his 99 SI and u can barely even hear it. Is there something wrong???? im not sure but mine on my integra u can def hear my blower on my integra but u cant hear it on my brothers SI
IS this a prob?????? please help me out thanks

 

Just a thought but I know that JR was going to start using the new 4th generation Eaton blower design. Revised inlet and outlet as well as an integrated bypass valve. Supposedly about 5% to 10% more eficient. Its possible that your bro has one of the new ones (if so, he's a lucky bastard)

Did he just buy it or did he get it used? You can always call up Jackson racing with the product number and just ask them...

The sound is also dependant on the other mods he has.. especially the intake. A JRSC will be a lot quieter with an Icebox or stock box then an AEM..

I had an AEM CAI on my b16a and it was pretty damn loud so i dont think you have anything to worry about.
