Real Us legal EP3 CTR
I am looking for the link to a site that advertises real EP3 CTR's for sale US Legal. Have searched the site all-night as well as google and can't find the link. Thought I found it in the ITR forum but I know better than to ask in there.
Can anyone help me out?
Already Have: http://www.evolutionimports.com/ this is not the place.

That was a darn quick answer but not the site I am looking for. This place had the CTR on the main page with talk of the DC5R being avail soon and I think some Evo's. Not motorex for sure.
it wont
honda always said its too costly to build R's. Why do you think we havent gotten the DC5's yet?
plus, they cant sell the Si's fast enough or any enough at all.

When did they say that? It was too costly to build the DC2-R, because it had to be sent to small tuning shops to have the motors specially built and to have the bodywork custom modified.
They had to do this in numbers sufficient for homologation, and then again in numbers sufficient to meet the noisy demands of all the people who wanted one after the homologation numbers were met. In consequence of this, Honda lost money on every Integra Type R that was sold in North America.
However, the DC5 and EP3 Type R's wouldn't need those kinds of modifications. The K20A and K20A2 motors are standard production items, and the bodywork is rigid enough that it would not need to be modified, thereby drastically reducing the relative cost when compared to the DC2 Type R.
Why do you think we havent gotten the DC5's yet?
Because it wasn't needed for the racing programmes. (?) Realtime and King are beginning to do very well with the DC5 that's being sold as the "Acura RSX Type S" and they might actually get upset if they had to change tack now.
I dunno.
Whatever the reason for not having it here already, I don't think production cost is the issue.

You don't think the EP3 would sell better if it had 40 more horsepower, a Type R badge, suspension improvements, and bigger wheels and tyres?

Trending Topics
I am actually more interested in the DC5R but I just thought there was another site besides Evolution already doing the CTR that were going to start getting DC5R's soon. Wanted to double check and see if they had them now to compare the prices is all.
I was reading motor trend or road and track (has yellow corvette concept on the front) said that the CTR will be comming to us in late 03 and is gonna be slated or called a 04 model. Everyone who doesnt believe or whats more info go and get the magazine and check it out. It was said by a reputable source. Looks like its actually gonna happen. I really would like to see it. Specs on it were 197hp. Really want to see them here although some people who will get them wont deserve to have them!
Check the magazine its on news stands now.

Just because a magazine says it is coming dosnt mean it is
Before this and every other "What if" thread go off on an unecessary tangent, it might be a good idea to combine this and the other thread into one.

just a thought.
on a side note: WR93EG...I've read your other posts, and I agree with you... regardless of what any other industry "rags" say.....until i hear/read some sort of confirmation of a CTR coming to the US, I'll believe that is nothing more than wishful thinking. *sigh*

this tread only has to do with finding a website link. I am going back to work tomorrow and think I have it there. Just wanted to see if anyone knew it over the weekend at all.

If you read the article at all you wouldve read that it says "This has not been confirmed by Honda"

If we're getting only one type r, its hands down going to be the EP. IF they import the DC5, they are going to have to mark the price to around that of the evo8, or 350z, and I don't think americans would have a hard time deciding between RWD, AWD with boost, or FWD. If they bring the EP R over, it will probably be around 20k. Right around the price of the mazdaspeed protege, svt focus, srt-4.
