Default i have no vtec , please help (did search couldnt find anything usefull)

i am using a pr3 reprogramed by eriks racing , some things were removed from it such as secondary o2 , knock , and vtec pressure send. unit. The reason i removed the vtec pressure sending unit was because i was using a vafc . Anyways oil level was good , car was very warm , speedo cable was plugged in, wiring was good . I even tried my friends stock pr3 and same results. This car once had a ls/vtec and it worked fine and nothing was changed besides not having a vafc anymore . No codes either Any ideas guys? thanx >> e

i know when vtec doesn't work, alot of times the vtec solenoid isnt hooked up right, so you may wanna doulbe check on that, check all your connections and everything. see if your check engine light comes on at all. good luck

Long shot, but check if the screen on the oil pressure sensor is clogged with debris...
No oil pressure=no VTEC, as well as low oil level

On your VAFC, Make sure the Blue wire (I think Blue, Its been awhile) is hooked up to the Oil Pressure Wire out of the ECU. Without this, it Will fall flat on its face a couple of times, then wont let you rev past 5K. Resetting the ECU temp fixes this but will do the same thing after a few redline sweeps.

Id check the wiring on the harness that plugs into the ECU. Check all the conncections again where you removed the VAFC wiring from.
