amp installation
hey guys,
need help again. how can i install 3 amps usign liek one remote turn on wire? also the remote turn on wire i have has 3 wires, thres on small wire int eh middle of the 2 rca and i have no diea what that is. my plan was to get 2 more sets of rca's and splice them to gether to make one rca connecting to the headunit while the other end has 3 sets of rca's ready to plug into 3. what are ur suggestions?
thanks in advance fo rany help.

you can run three amps off the same remote wire. just split the wire and run it to each amp. the wire between the rca's is NOT a remote, i repeat DO NOT use this as a remote. several reasons: 1 its there to reduse inductive coupling between the two wires, 2 it is way too light gauge and will break somewhere along the wire causing problems, 3 you want to run any wires carrying DC voltage as far away from the rca's as you can. dont go splicing rca's, it is incredibly difficult if you dont know what youre doing. go to the store you bought the rca's and buy a y-adapter. you can run one set of rca's from the headunit and use the y-adapters to split it into as many as you want to.
alright let me tell u wut i got for wiring. i'm somewut confused now.
i 4 gauge wire running to the distribution block. then i have 8 gauge wiring runnnig to the 3 amps i have. after that i have 20 ft of blue remote turn on wire. then a single like small blue wire liek 20 ft or so, have 20 feet of rca cable.
alright so ur saying go tot eh store and buy a y adapter (female or male?) does the 3 rca able connect into the y adaper?
sorry i'm still new to the audio stuff.

From what I can understand:
you have one rca output on your headunit and you have three amps. The power wires are taken care of via a distribution block etc. You have one set of rca's. You have remote turn on wire.
1. run the turn-on wire with the power wire to the amps, daisy chain them together.
2. Look at the amps, do any of them have rca outputs (for sub or otherwise)? If they do this changes things a little).
If not there's a couple of ways to do it.
1. Go buy two more sets of rca's and four splittlers(y adapters). Connect splitters to each output on deck r&l. Connect a splitter to one open end on each splitter. Now you just plug in the rca's r&l to one or the other clusterf**k of splitters. (make sure you tape everything up so that it doesn't come apart). Connect other ends to amps.
2. Connections are the same, but you're only running the one set of long rca's from the deck w/ the splitters at the end of those then into 3 sets of short rca's connecting to the amps.
Option 1 is better if you plan on putting a new deck in w/3 sets of outputs.
i don't mean to offend, but take a little more time when typing. Multiple typo's make everything hard to read/understand.

Do your amps have crossovers built in? Does the headunit have crossovers? Are you planning on using crossovers at all? Some of the electronic crossovers allow you to connect 1 RCA cable from the headunit and have 3 coming out of it.

get a spliter for wires like the ones for the power wire only in a 12 awg
Works and looks way better
also helps when you want to add more things that require a remote

Run the main wire form the radio to where the actual setup is, and split it off making three separate wires. You can do this using a but-connector, or a bunch of other types.
