Why is suspension so hard with one person?
Meaning why is it so hard to put back together with only one person.
I only have air tools, I don't have any hand tools. Even though, it took me an entire day to put back the front two struts/shocks and then I couldn't even get my other car DONE!
I'm so pissed at myself for being so ******* slow.
My *** hurts from sitting down on the ground trying to do things!!!!!!!!!!

i don't know what to tell you man, maybe you are taking too much stuff off? My first time it took me 3 1/2 hours to do the whole car by myself. That is Koni yellow and GC's. I've since had to take the suspension off and off to add more stuff and it takes me at most half that time. later
If it's your first time, give yourself a break. It took me all day to do just the front too my first time. Plus by your self...that's why it took soooooo long. Just chill and have a

Yeah I guess so, I haven't really done an entire car by myself before.
Even with air tools though I had a really hard time.
Tomorrow morning I work at 11 and now I have to put a dead shock back together and put my coil overs onto my Tokicos.

You made 3 threads and all of them are about the same thing.
but when you do it by yourself obviously your less likely to figure it out as quickly as you would with 2-3 people. the first time i changed springs the left side took me 3 hrs. the right too me 45 minutes. just gotta figue it out for yourself and then its simple

Entire day?
You must not be mechanically-inclined. Actually, 1 day is pretty damn long. I take that back. You must not have opposable thumbs.

I can see if you totally didnt have hand tools that it could be hard. But seriously all you need is like a 14mm nad a 17mm wrench and socket and you can have it all done by yourself in like 5 hours max. I did my first car in like 2 hours with just hand tools. The next car i did in like 1 hour.
Do you guys wear some type of gloves so you don't bang your hands up or something? Cuz my hands are all banged up.
ok so if you guys can do it so fast how do you guys get the control arm bolt to line up with the strut (doing this by myself)
Dont know what car it is but it only 20 min per corner on my civic w/only hand tools. but it was your 1st time so just take your time. Ibet in the future it will be quicker.

be glad your homein hawaii cuzz in the nw i the winter the concrete is cold w/out a heater, anyway the first time i did a suspension was a bitch for me too...
Sometimes I use an extra jack and a hammer to line things up. A day is pretty long but if it was your first major project on your car, it's understandable. A friend of mine did the same with his E30 Bimmer. He had access to air tools too... and a lift!
As for gloves, I usually use latex gloves. They don't have lots of cushioning but they keep hand cleaning to a minimum and provide for at least a little abrasion protection. I hear good things about Mechanix gloves but I haven't ever tried them.

took me a very long time to put on my tokico illumina r kit. probably because it was winter meaning cold as hell, most of the bolts were rusted and I honestly had no idea what I was doing...I think it honestly took me 2 days because I had to take so many "warm up" breaks and go inside

Don't worry much about the time it is taking you to finish this project. As long as in the end the job gets done right that is all that really matters, so just continue to take your time with it, I can understand not wanting to mess anything up and if it your first time you probably have the manual in hand with the pages blowing in the wind. Just pay attention to what you are doing now and you will be able to do it quicker in the future. Good luck
Took me a day with help when first doing my suspension. We didnt know what we were doing. Now I can do it easy fast. Get some mechanix gloves for the hands.
