Default b16 hatch or b18c1 coupe

well i sold my b18c coupe and i currently ahve a 93 si hatch, i was wondering how it woud compare to my old coupe if i threw in a b16 outta an 00si? in my coupe i had intake header 2.5 exhaust, but in this car i will only do intake, header and gut the cat and throw on an axleback because i want it to be a lil quieter (the coupe was insanely loud with a dunk, and the hatch is gettin a thermal research axleback) i just want to know how there goin to compare, i know its gonna lack the torque but i also love how the b16 revs soo freely

keep in mind, your coupe probably weighed as much as our damned Si hatches, now can you imagine that with a b16? especially if your not gonna surpass the usual i/h/e ?

go b18c, you`ll be happy...i know i am

If you were used to B18C torque... your gonna get annoyed at the torque lacking b16... not saying its a bad motor thats what i did but it definatly could have used some bottom end

i'd save up some more money and go with the b18c for your hatch.

well personally i think the b16 will do me fine, atleast its a good start, and i got it for a really good price , so im happy, i guess it pays to have connections, so far i have 2500 into my hatch with the price or motor and car, and its close to keepin up with the 18,000 i had into my coupe, jus doesnt look as nice

you should be fine with the b16 in the hatch. you should be able to smoke si dohc vtec easily just from the weight advantage.

whats stoping you from making boring out the B16 to a 1.8 lt. From what I understand the B16 revs higher, the only benefit was the displacement. I may be wrong.
