hey i just bought a temp gauge from the auto parts store..i think i found a place on the head (b16) on the left side ..on the back..its an allen screw...if i take that out will i be able to screw the new temp sensor for the gauge in there? or is it something else?..if it is..where is a good place to tap into the cooling system?

 

Large allen screw right?? No dont use that, thats where the oil feed line goes when you ls/vtec. The temp sensor is under the Diz its a single wire. Tap into it.

 

You can tap into the water neck on the thermostat housing.

 

that requires drilling huh?

 

if you go into the neck it may. You have a 1st gen B16 right? Answer is yes you do. if its a 2nd gen they have the sensor on the neck.

 

i have a mechanical sensor anyway...i think im gonna have to drill....damn i really didnt want to have to do that
