Default Disabling Knock sensor on B18C/b16 setup

I'm planning on installing a ZDYNE unit on my B18C block/B16a head(nonOBD) setup. Currently, I'm using the PR3 ECU. My question, in order to run the ZDYNE I have to use a PR4 ECU(which does NOT have knock sensor) the VTEC will also be wired; BUT is there any consequences I'm opening myself up to by doing this? I've heard the ECU ignores the KS past 5K RPM, anyway. TIA
