Default alternator

Does anyone know what the output of a 94 accord ex's sotck alternator is? 2.2L 4 cyl engine. I'm looking at a 135amp alternator but dont know if that will be enough. I'm running 2 300w rms (600w peak) amps and a cda-7893 alpine head unit. thanks

600W RMS from a typical class a/b amp is in the neighbor hood of 60-80 amps...that's a wide approximation, but that's at maximum current draw.

The stock alternator is probably between 60 and 80, so the 135 would be a healthy upgrade....just make sure to check the idle output of the new alternator...typically they are rated by their peak output...somewhere around 4k rpm.

The alternator upgrade doesnt make a huge difference unless you building a monster system 2000+ watts of power and still even then the difference is not great. Music is not a constant drain it hits peaks and valleys and never draw peak amps for more than milli secs

listen to this man- Upgrading your alt is somewhat pointless esp if your only runnin 600w thats nothin.. i had(old-old system) a 1000w ssytem runnin off a 35amp alt - & i had 1farad cap.. it worked fine.
