Default Slowly increasing PSI....

Lets say i start with a 5-7 PSI of boost from the drag gen II kit for my 90 ls teg with 130XXX miles. If I want to get more PSI, all I need is the boost controller that comes with the kit and a tial maybe? Maybe some rods? Rebuild engine? And another thing, how is the bov gonna sound at the low boost level.

For your own good...use the search feature and all shall be revealed to ye! I can assure that topics like these have been discussed to no end...and...umm...no one really cares what the BOV sounds like, sorry.

Boost controllers are expensive, just disconnect your wastegate line and you can control boost level by feathering the throttle.

Geez, go easy on the guy, he's a noob. Dude just do a search. No need to give him BS advice. He might actually do that stuff.

I dont believe the kit comes with a boost controller, or maybe i got ripped?

Yes maybe get a few rods and 9.5:4 JE piston since there are 4 cylinders. That will get you a few more psi if tuned right.

And your BOV is going to sound like a trapped pigeon with a rubber band on its neck under the hood with low boost.

Actually on a serious note, I would get a compression or leakdown test on your motor since the high milage. If it checks out ok, I would stick with the .45 bar spring on the Tial Wastegate.

If your smart and can afford it, get yourself a Hondata 2b, RC 440 injectors, walbro 255lph intank fuel pump, FPR, and have it tuned. Dont run around on a crappy FMU+inline pump like i did.

Then maybe you can buy a boost controller to up the boost a little.
