Here's my dillema. I'm going to the Marines so it's either i sell my car the way it is or i but a newer hatch and switch everything over. Please do not tell me to keep the 4 dr.I have a 4 dr civic and i'm sick of loosing to these lighter hatches. And it's time to buy a new car so i'm gonna take everything i've invested in my 92 4 dr civic and switch everything onto a 99 hatch. I weighed my 4 dr and it was 2425 with all the mods. Any ways does anyone know the stock weight of a 99 hatch. And please don't tell me i think it weighs this or my brothers friends cousin's hatch weights whatever. Can someone tell me how much does a 99 hatch weight. I remember a while back there was a thread about the 92-99 civics which was beautiful. Why doesen't someone do that with the 96 and up hatches?

 

96-98 CX hatch weighs 2222

99-00 CX hatch weighs 2350

add about +50 pounds for DX models

yeah and tail lights.

the reason i got a 2000 is because i wanted white and 2000 is the only year that came in white.

but if you don't care about color, get a 96 because they are the cheapest and lightest.

 

but none of them really have power anything right. I would really like power windows and locks. I'm not as concerned with the windows as i am the locks because i think i can just put CTR door panels and get the motor and i'll have power windows.

 

128 lbs for a front end !?!?!?! I can't believe it.

 

well i have an alarm, so i have the power locks too. my dad put them in it didn't look to hard.

 

Different cup holders, different dash/climate control. I like the 99-00 climate control because you can throw on some si climate control (i like the amber). On 99-00 it does not have a trunk latch (next to the gas latch), where the 96-98 has it. There are other subtle differences but I cannot remember them all.
